BeautyBay Haul!

BeautyBay is something I have heard so many people go on about buying from for certain brands and I had put off buying something from there for so long, as I was suppose to be saving up...yeah that didn't really go to plan. I only purchased a few items as it was my first time ordering with them and didn't want to spend too much just incase. I am glad I did this as when I placed my order it arrived but none of my items were in the box, after speaking to them the only conclusion was that they got taken during transit. Luckily this was sorted quickly and they resent me the items after they had looked into the situation and I had them within a day. Anyways I received my items and they were perfect!

First off I have been wanting to try Gerard Cosmetics for so long especially their Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks I purchased two of these in Invasion and Ecstasy. I had wanted Invasion for so long as the colour was just so different and it was a colour that I needed to own. These were also my very first liquid lipsticks to try as I have only just got on the hype with these but I can definitely see me purchasing more in the future. At first I wasn't too keen on the lipsticks once they had dried because when you press your lips together they feel a bit sticky, which I did think would bother me but when I put the lipstick on and wore it out for the full day I realised that I didn't really notice the stickiness of the product. As it is a matte lipstick too some people can be worried that it is going to dry their lips out the next day, which I didn't really notice this but that could be just due to the fact that before I sleep I always put lip balm on.

They claim to be long lasting which is true I had mine on for over 6 hours and I didn't need to reapply within that time, which of course that is what you want if they claim it is long lasting. In the pictures you can see the colours are very similar apart from Ecstasy has more purple tones in it. These liquid lipsticks were £9.50 each which depending on your budget could be high priced or just in the middle. I am not 100% sure on if Gerard Cosmetics is seen as a drugstore or high end brand as they seem to be sat right in the middle just more to the high end side of the scale.

My next item I bought was an impulse buy from just seeing it, I knew I needed to purchase it. Lately I have been really enjoying contour, bronzer and highlighter it is one of the things I spend most of my time on when I am doing my make up. The Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette the Rose Golden packaging with embossed detailing is just amazing and definitely something which appealed to me. This palette has a contour/bronzer shade, highlight and a blush - which all work amazingly together. Another thing I love about this palette is the names for the products as they're based around Princess related words, which to me you can see from the palette it has that in my opinion royal elegant touch added to it. The price of this palette is £13 and in my opinion it was a £13 well spent as I am now just completely in love with this palette.

I can be quite picky when it comes to contour shades as I don't want it to be too orange on my skin or for it to look muddy. Zoeva have done an amazing job on this contour shade called 'Heavy Crown' as it is very light ideal for fair skin like myself, it is also very buildable so you can get a soft or a strong contour which can be blended out really easily. However it does take a good few times to actually get some colour pay off which sucks but I guess this is good if you're a bit too heavy handed.

The highlighter in this palette also has a gorgeous name which is 'Glowing Still' and when I first did a swatch with this it looked very white which made me worried that I was going to put it on and it would be super noticeable, this wasn't the case. It reminded me a lot of my Mary Lou from TheBalm but it wasn't as golden. It had more of a white iridescent colour to it which from all the highlighters I own none of them have this. I put both this and my Mary Lou together and they just complimented each other so well.

Finally the last product in this trio is the rose golden blush called 'Palace Door' which is a peach toned shimmer blush with rose gold mixed in with it. Applying this lightly gives a nice glow to the skin and compliments both the contour and highlighter, I didn't want to apply too much as it is easier to add than it is to take off. All the colours in this palette are super pigmented and creamy making them all easy to blend out. I can definitely see this becoming one of my holy grail products the only downside is there is no refill pans if you do need to replace them which is a shame.

I am really wanting to know some more good liquid lipsticks that are worth their money, so please let me know in the comments! Really want to get some more!!

Until Next Time,

February Favourites!

Over the month of February I haven't really had many beauty favourites it has been more of a mix of random stuff. So this post is just a bit random if I'm honest! I have been loving a lot of things throughout the month of February. So lets jump in!

MacBook Pro this was my biggest investment within the month of February and definitely one I don't regret. It has changed my life, like I am so happy I stuck to my guns and got a MAC instead of just getting a new laptop. I had needed a new one for soo long it was unreal but I put up with my old one until it was basically just not working just so I could save up more for my MAC and now that I have it. I am so glad I did it! If you're thinking of getting a MAC in my opinion I think it is definitely worth the money if you're happy spending that amount of money on a MAC. But definitely do your research before as you would with any other laptop. I have the 13" MacBook Pro with retina display.

Another favourite which I have already done a post on is The 1975's new album 'I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.' this and their other album have just been on repeat. I am going to see them at the end of this week too so I am super hyped for that! if you haven't yet got their new album I 100% recommend it to you!!

When I come to think about it I do have a beauty favourite which is my brow archery by Soap and Glory I only really can class this as a favourite from just not knowing how much I did love it until I didn't have it. Like when this ran out I didn't think my eyebrows would be the same with other products that I have. My eyebrows have never been something that I have wanted to try loads of products for and I definitely think my Brow Archery is going to be one of my holy grails for such a long time.

I don't have that many favourites for February but I am hopefully going to have a lot more favourites during March! Let me know what your favourites from February were in the comments!

Until Next Time,

Potential Series Starting?!?

This is only a short post today as I didn't have time to put together a good one for Tuesday but I didn't want to miss a day as I have been doing really well at scheduling and having posts going up on a frequent basis. So I thought I'd talk to you about an idea I am thinking of doing...

The idea is doing some sort of series of blog posts maybe once a week or every so often, and it will be similar to when I do my monthly favourites but it will be my favourites of a certain type of make up  - such as favourite bronzers, favourite highlighters etc. I might then speak about my top 3 that I couldn't live without or that I would definitely repurchase when I have used it all. I'd also do something like my top 5 from a brand such as MAC, Benefit, Nars etc obviously this would depend on how much I own from that brand.

These would include both high end and drug store so then I am covering a lot more ground with different products. I am not 100% sure if I am going to be doing this but it entered my head a few days ago and I think it would be quite fun to do.

Let me know what you think of this idea in the comments! I'd love some feedback!

January Favourites

January has been the month of saving for most people me being one of them. I didn't know how hard it was to actually save money I did fail on some occasions because of course there is always sales when I want to save money. So I haven't tried lots of new stuff this month but there is something I have fallen in love with! So here are my favourites for January!

Nivea Post Shave Balm has been hyped up by so many YouTubers such as NikkieTutorials, JaclynHill and KathleenLights. When so many people have nothing but good reviews on a product I NEED to try it and I am so glad I did! It is amazing, so much better than any other primers. I will be doing a full review on this so won't go into much detail.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner this was a purchase I got on a one off just to try it and have fallen in love with it, I use to always use my Soap and Glory Kohl Liner but I always noticed that it would gradually work its way down under my eyes. These Urban Decay ones don't move at all! Urban Decay say that these eyeliners set after a few seconds so they don't move during the day which for me is amazing!

I was late to the Mary Lou Manizer hype but it is definitely worth it, you don't need much of this product for it to look amazing! TheBalm is seen as a drugstore product with it being available in Superdrug however it is inexpensive but still has a high mark so could potentially be high end make up too. But this is definitely worth the money you pay for it, it has a lovely champagne colour to it which catches the light and looks amazing especially on all skin tones!

MAC Pro Longwear in NW15 is another favourite of mine I always put off MAC foundation until I decided to bite the bullet and get some and I have found my favourite foundation ever, compared to the others I have used this is one I have been obsessed with this month. I will be doing a review on this also in another post.

I have been wanting to try and meditate a lot more and relax after I have had quite a bit of stress from work the past week, I read through my sisters Calm book and saw that they had an app so I downloaded it and it is really good, you are limited to what you can do unless you subscribe which I haven't done. But the past week before going to sleep I have been listening to it and it has helped send me to sleep so easy instead of tossing and turning. I also feel a lot more relaxed before I go to sleep which helps me get a good nights sleep. So if you are wanting to relax or need help trying to sleep I would 100% recommend the Calm app.

What are your January favourites? Let me know in the comments!

Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Limited Edition Palette!

I have always loved Urban Decay for eye shadows they're always so pigmented and are so easy to work with. I have an undying love for my Naked palettes which are an essential in my make up collection. But when I saw the Gwen Stefani palette and it immediately caught my eye from the colours which have been put in this palette are all golds, nudes and browns which are my go to colours with two colours which are perfect for a pop of colour.

The packaging for this palette is amazing! You can feel the quality in it with it having a magnetic lock on it and the metal casing for it. You can tell this is Gwen Stefani's from the style of it from them being inspired from her love of black and white graphic prints and antique gold accents which really does reflect in this packaging. You can tell that your money is well spent and that it has been made really well. I managed to pick mine up from FeelUnique during the Black Friday Sales for only £36! This palettes price is £40 which for some people it is pretty expensive but again you pay for what you receive which you definitely won't be disappointed in this purchase!

So let's have a look at the palette...

The shades in this palette are creamy with a velvet texture to them aswell as being easy to apply, you can really build up the colour to get either a intense colour or just a subtle shade of colour. These eyeshadows really relate to Gwen Stefani's looks as she usually does go for a nude eye and sometimes a pop of colour which explains the pink and blue which are in the palette. Three of the shades in this palette are from Urban Decay's Collection and the other 12 are brand new. There is quite a mix up in the shades from some being matte and some being shimmery. All the colours work well together so you can either create day looks and then simply darken these up with the darker colours to make it a night look. The pictures don't do the palette any justice on how amazing these shades are.

(L-R. Blonde, Bathwater, Skimp, Steady, Punk)
(L-R. Baby, Anaheim, Stark, Zone, Serious)
(L-R. Pop, Harajuku, Danger, 1987, Blackout)
Even though I don't think I will use the pink and blue shades as much I will try my hardest to use them because they are amazing! I was pretty surprised when I swatched these I was expecting them to be pretty bright which the pink isn't it's a subtle baby pink with flecks of shimmer in it - which I think I will be able to incorporate this into some looks the blue however I still need to think about that, but it would be amazing for a night out!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is even considering buying it because with it only being limited edition you don't want to miss out and then regret not getting it because I know I would if I didn't get it. Want to grab one for yourself? Check it out here.

Have you tried the Gwen Stefani palette? Are you thinking of getting it? Let me know in the comments!

Until Next Time,

December Favourites!

December for me I haven't really had time to try out many new products, it's been more of a reaching for old products which I haven't used for what feels like years! This month there isn't much for make up it's more lifestyle bits such as YouTubers and Music but of course there is some beauty and skincare. So lets get on with it!

My Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette I got this around the start of 2015 and never really saw much of a love for it, but recently I have been using this for a quick everyday look by using only 3 shades in this. When I first invested in a Naked Basics I had the hard decision of which one to go for as I heard that the difference between them both was that one was more warm toned and the other cool toned. I eventually went for the Naked 2 Basics but after regaining my love for this product over the past month I may have to get the first Naked Basics in the future.

The three colours which I think make a lovely everyday look is Stark all over the lid, Primal or Cover in the crease and then Skimp on the centre and inner of my eye and on my brow bone. If you are after a simple matte palette which doesn't have too many shades but you can use them all together then this is definitely for you!

Clinique Anti Blemish Cleansing Foam and Clarifying Lotion I have always wanted to have a skincare routine which I would love and for me it has taken me a while to find products which do actually work for me. Clinique for me I see them as skin experts I have heard nothing but good things about their products. So I thought I would give this a go and I am so glad I did! This has helped to clear my skin up amazingly they do have other types which you can get it's all down to what you want from the product.

I got the Anti Blemish ones. The cleansing foam is amazing at removing make up and just making your face feel refreshed, I then used the clarifying lotion and when I first used this it did make my skin tingle but to me if something makes your skin tingle then it must be working? I continued to use this same routine for weeks and my skin is now cleared up! The tingling only happened on the first time me using the lotion. I would recommend this to anyone if they're wanting to try out a new skincare routine or if you're prone to spots this is definitely going to be worth a go as it is suitable for all skin types too.

Justin Bieber's Purpose Album this has been on repeat for me ever since it came out. I definitely think this is one of my favourite albums by Justin, I was never a major fan of his other stuff but to me this album is slaying! The music on there to me I feel like it's a lot more grown up compared to his older stuff which yes it was good but not my favourite. Some of my favourite songs on this album are Sorry, Love Yourself, The Feeling, Get Used To It and so many more I actually like them all. But Justin has definitely made a come back!

As you can see in the first picture there is a Landon Tyler candle, I have never heard of this brand before but this candle is amazing I especially love the Blackberry Souffle one as it isn't too strong but you can still smell it. I got this at a cheap price too as the retail price of these is insanely pricey. You can see from the packaging it comes in that it's expensive or has the expensive look to it. Definitely going to be trying a lot more of these scents out!

I have never mentioned any YouTubers in my favourites but Emily Canham and Jake Boys have been by far one of my favourites this month, actually for the past year they have been a favourite of mine. They do Vlogs and Main Channel videos, Emily is goals she is soo pretty and I wish I had the skills she does when it comes to make up. She is one YouTuber who's opinion I take on board when it comes to products to try in the future. Jake on the other hand is a lot more funnier with his videos he does. If you are wanting smaller YouTubers to watch I definitely recommend them! They put so much work into their videos and deserve so much more recognition for their hard work! I will link their channels below.

What have your favourites been during December? Let me know in the comments!

November Favourites!

It's now officially time to get in the Christmas spirit! But before that I'm going to just going to cover some of my November favourites. November has flown by but I have actually managed to find some new favourites.

The L'Oreal True Match Foundation has now taken over from my No7 Beautifully Matte which I thought it would be pretty hard because I love that! But after my friend tried it on me I knew I needed to get it and instantly bought it a few days after. Me and my friend are similar in skin tone so we are usually the same in most foundations. The colour matches me amazingly and the coverage is buildable so you can get both sheer and full coverage from just one foundation. I did find it was quite watery but I have got use to that so it doesn't bother me as much. I am fairly pale so I have one of the lightest shades which is 1.N.

I have never been one to bother with beauty blenders but I received one in my GlossyBox so why not try it - I am glad I did because it is amazing the finish it gives you after you have blended all your make up out is just flawless! Why didn't I try this any sooner? It was weird when I first used it because I was so use to just using brushes but my ways have now changed. I would recommend you try a beauty blender if you haven't before you won't be disappointed! (excuse the state of mine it's due a clean)

Emite Make Up Diamond Heart Base Primer is another item I received in my GlossyBox which I'm also happy with I have never heard of this brand before but from the packaging I was expecting good things, this primer is now a go to in my daily make up routine and works fantastic alongside my L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I only have the travel size so I might have to look into getting the full size product. It's different to my other primers as its not very drying which for me is a bonus, it leaves my skin feeling amazing.

Victoria Secret body sprays have always been hyped up by everyone so I thought I'd give them a go. Luckily for me they had their Christmas selection out which I love Christmas scents so I immediately fell in love with these. Winter Cranberry is my all time favourite I have not stopped wearing it and when Christmas is over I will be pretty gutted as I won't be able to get it anymore, maybe I should stop using it as much now just so I have enough to last me a year hahaha! Can I add aswell that the packaging of the sprays is one of my favourites you can tell it's limited edition because it is different to the normal bottles, but overall they have changed the design of their bottles making them look a lot more classy and sophisticated in my opinion.

This month has gone by so fast for me, I don't really have many favourites this month as I still have a lot to try but I keep buying more and more stuff which I need to stop because it is becoming unhealthy. Also sorry this is late, I had the post ready but no pictures to go with it and work has been hectic with Christmas hours starting.

What have been your November favourites? Let me know in the comments!

Until Next Time,

MAC Enchanted Eve Christmas Collection

Every year MAC Cosmetics bring out a Christmas range which will last until the New Year. One piece of the MAC Christmas collection always makes it way onto my Christmas list, last year was the Keepsakes collection which I got the nude palette I can't remember the name of it.

The 2015 Christmas range is amazing, I instantly fell in love with it and needed it all! The theme this year was based around purples, blues and nudes giving it that night out vibe. I decided to treat myself to a few bits because knowing my luck it would be out of stock when I have time to get it, just like the 'Oh Darling' highlight I was too late to get that which sucks.

Enchanted Eve Eyes in Warm £32.
When it comes to eyeshadows I tend to be quite boring and play it safe, always sticking to warm tones and nudes. However I needed this palette it is pretty much like my Keepsakes palette with the same warm tone. The other colours you could get in this range were the mauve and navy palette.

The 6 eyeshadows you get:
- Seasonal Spirit
- Moodmaker
- Sax Appeal
- Bewitchin'
- Charcoal Brown
- Retrospeck

MAC eyeshadows are amazing quality so I know I won't be let down with these! I love the size of this palette it is ideal for travelling with it being easy to slip into a pocket. The mirror is also a added bonus with it being fairly big making it perfect for when you're doing your eye make up on the go. This product overall is really good quality and has all the little added details, the packaging itself and the magnetic seal making it easy to open and close.

Enchanted Eve Eye Bag in Neutral £39.50.
Originally I wasn't going to get the eye set in the Enchanted Eve range but I was going to buy the paint pot and mascara anyways, so thought I may aswell save some money and get more items. The other two sets were quite similar to this apart from they differed in the paintpot and fluidline with purples and then blues.

In the set you get;
- Painterly Paint Pot
- Dipdown Fluidline Eyeliner
- False Lashes in False Black
- Double Ended Brush with an eyeshadow and liner brush.
- Make Up Bag

What you get in this set is a good value for money and would be the perfect Christmas present for any make up lover. I am excited to use the False Lashes mascara because my first ever mascara from MAC I loved - but it was limited edition so sadly I couldn't get it again. I have been wanting to try the Painterly paint pot for so long after hearing so many people give it good reviews.

Enchanted Eve Lip Bag in Nude £34.
You might be thinking I have gone with nudes again, this set was really the only one I would personally go for that I know I would wear. The other two you could get were a bright pink or red these looked amazing but not for me hahaha,

In the set you get:
- Creme Cup Cremesheen Lipstick
- Boldly Bare Lip Pencil
- Cherry Blossom Lipglass
- Make Up Bag

I have never been let down with MAC lipsticks, you could probably tell if you knew how many I own, trust me it's not healthy. However I can't say much about the lip liners as I have never tried them but I have heard all good things about them, so hopefully I won't be disappointed. Can I just add the bags I got given were amazing they were to go with the Guo Pei collection.

MAC's collection this year is one of my favourites, all the packaging has an edgy clubbing vibe but it's still very classy. I might do a review on some of the products in future posts if I remember. I can definitely say it was a good spend which was worth it!

Did you get any of the new collection? Are you going to get any if so what? I'd love to know so drop me a comment!

Until Next Time.

October Favourites!

So October's over, November's here. I thought I would share with you my favourites from October, some of these have been my favourites for over a month I would have done them in past favourites but with me not actually starting this blog until the end of October when I was able to actually sit and put the time and effort into this, but these products have continued to be a favourite for over a month.

Clinique Contour Chubby Stick - I wanted to purchase this for so long after seeing Emily Canham (imhereforever on YouTube) using it and giving it nothing but good reviews. But I didn't want to spend the money if I wasn't going to like it, so like any person I waited till I was going on holiday and got it in Duty Free for less.
This is something I have reached for whenever I do my make up whether it's being used on it's own or as a base under my contour, it's easily blendable and you don't need that much on for it to give the desired look. I have quite fair skin and this works well with my skin tone but I have seen it used on so many different skin tones which is an added bonus.

Avon Anew Mascara and Serum - Hearing about different serums to use on eyelashes I never thought they would actually work, but I have been corrected the Avon Anew Serum is a god send it actually works! I use this whenever I put mascara on now this has done nothing but make them look even better.
The serum is said to strengthen your eyelashes and make them look fuller which I agree it does. Using the mascara along with this serum is the best combination I have worn no other mascara since I got this. I am not really keen on plastic wands when it comes to mascara I personally prefer the bristles, but this is amazing the wand makes sure you can get every lash and gives it a good coverage without it looking too clumpy. I am really happy that I decided to purchase this because I will definitely be repurchasing this.

Zoella Wonder Hand - Been the type of person that never really bothered with hand cream unless I really needed it, but after getting the Zoella Wonder Hand I don't know why I haven't been using it more often because my hands feel amazing! Especially with my job my hands are prone to getting dry especially now with it getting to winter.
Before I bought this I was worried that it would be strong smelling and with this having the same scent as Zoella's original collection which I wasn't very keen on.I didn't want it to be too strong for me. But to my surprise it isn't strong smelling at all. The one thing everyone needs in a good hand cream is that it's fast drying especially if you're on the go and can't be waiting around for it to sink in which luckily this one dries really fast leaving your hands feeling amazingly hydrated.

MAC Yash Matte Lipstick - MAC lipsticks are my ultimate favourite lipstick ever, if I could I would buy every shade possible. I am one to go for nudes, pinks and browns.
Yash is one of my most recent purchases and I don't know why I didn't find out about this sooner, this has been one of my new favourites from MAC I had never heard much about it unlike Velvet Teddy which everyone has hyped about and I agree on the hype it's amazing. Yash has taken over my love for Velvet Teddy it's the perfect nude and ideal if you don't want a lipstick that needs to look perfect for it to look good.

I'd love to know what your favourites from October are, let me know in the comments.

Until Next Time.
